Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how TIK Construction Inc. ("TIK", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit tikconstruction.com (the "Site"), submit a form, call us, or otherwise interact with our services. We're a Washington corporation headquartered at 14511 NE 10th Ave, Ste C, Vancouver WA 98685.

If you have questions about this policy, call us at (360) 938-4601 or email privacy@tikconstruction.com.

Information we collect

Information you provide

When you submit a form, request a quote, or call us, we collect:

  • Your name, phone number, and (if provided) email address
  • Property address and a description of the damage or project
  • Insurance carrier and policy details when handling a claim on your behalf
  • Photos and other documentation gathered on-site during restoration work
  • Any other information you choose to share in messages or during calls

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect standard analytics data:

  • IP address, approximate location (city/region), browser, and device type
  • Pages viewed, time on page, referrer, and click events
  • Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies set by Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Google Tag Manager
  • Click-tracking parameters such as gclid (Google Ads), msclkid (Microsoft Ads), and utm_* parameters that ad networks attach to URLs

Phone calls

Calls placed to or from numbers published on the Site may be recorded for quality and training purposes and are routed through Twilio, our telephony provider. Twilio retains call metadata (caller number, called number, duration, recording if applicable) on our behalf. We use this data to dispatch crews, document service, and measure ad performance. We do not share recordings outside the company except as required by law or to handle an insurance claim with your authorization.

Information from third parties

We may receive information from your insurance carrier (claim numbers, adjuster contact, scope approvals) when you authorize us to handle a claim on your behalf. We may also receive lead information from referral partners or platforms such as Google Local Services Ads.

How we use information

  • Respond to inquiries, dispatch crews, and provide restoration services
  • Document damage, file insurance claims, and coordinate with your adjuster
  • Send service-related communications (appointment confirmations, status updates, follow-ups)
  • Bill insurance carriers or you directly for completed work
  • Measure ad performance, improve the Site, and understand how visitors find us
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and bot traffic
  • Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for behavioral advertising on third-party platforms outside the conversion-tracking described in the "Cookies and tracking" section below.

How we share information

We share information only with parties that help us deliver services or that we are required to share with by law:

  • Insurance carriers and adjusters — when handling a claim on your behalf, with your authorization
  • Service providers — Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (email), Twilio (calls and SMS), Google (analytics, ads, tag manager) — each bound by their own contracts and privacy commitments
  • Subcontractors and trade partners — when specialty work (contents restoration, structural engineering, etc.) is required to complete a job
  • Legal authorities — when required by subpoena, court order, or law, or to protect rights, property, or safety
  • Successors — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may transfer to the acquiring entity

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes: making the Site work (essential cookies — session, preferences) and measuring how the Site performs (analytics and ad-conversion cookies). Specifically:

  • Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-2750T104ZK) — aggregate usage statistics
  • Google Ads conversion tracking (account AW-18028144611) — measures whether ad clicks led to phone calls or form submissions
  • Google Tag Manager (GTM-5J6Z862B) — manages the above tags
  • First-party attribution cookie (tik_attr) — stores ad-click identifiers across pages so we can credit the originating ad when you submit a form

You can disable cookies in your browser settings or use Google's Analytics Opt-Out browser extension. Disabling cookies will not prevent the Site from working.

Data retention

We keep information only as long as we need it:

  • Lead inquiries — 24 months from last contact, unless you become a customer
  • Customer records and project documentation — at least 7 years after job completion (Washington and Oregon contractor record-keeping requirements; longer for insurance claim records)
  • Call recordings — 90 days unless tied to an active claim or dispute
  • Analytics data — retained per Google Analytics defaults (currently 14 months) at the user level; aggregate data may be kept longer

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of personal information we hold about you. We honor these rights for residents of all U.S. states regardless of state-specific minimum thresholds.

Washington residents

Under the Washington My Health My Data Act and other Washington consumer protection laws, you can request access to consumer health-related data we hold about you and request its deletion. Submit requests to privacy@tikconstruction.com.

Oregon residents

Under the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act, you can request to know what personal data we process, correct inaccuracies, delete data, and opt out of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal data and do not use sensitive data for targeted advertising.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

You can request to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of personal information we hold about you. We do not sell personal information and do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under California law. Submit requests to privacy@tikconstruction.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

How to exercise your rights

Email privacy@tikconstruction.com or call (360) 938-4601. We will verify your identity before fulfilling the request and respond within 45 days. There is no charge for reasonable requests.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest, access controls, and limited employee access — to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we work hard to maintain it.

Children's privacy

The Site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 30 days. Continued use of the Site after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.
